2022 turbo tax lists "Insulation material or systems to reduce heat loss" credits you can claim, I cannot find where the deductions can be made. Why for an exciting home, there is a message that "it turns out the energy-saving improvements relating to new home construction don't qualify for some common energy credits. We'll skip those and only ask about the energy credit you qualify for." which does not have credit for insulation materials?????????

If this was not new construction then go back through the questions and watch for the question that says "were any of these improvements related to the construction of your main home"? Here you will answer No, the improvements weren't related to the construction of our main home, as long as it was an existing home that you insulated. This will allow you to see the boxes for insulation material or system.
