energy star credit for tax year 2022 - if you take the standard deduction?

Hi All,

We put a new roof on plus 4 new skylights ibefore selling our home in 2022.

GAF roof abd Velux windows were energy star rated.

Can we take the energy tax credit if we also take the standard deduction for married filing jointly?

Yes, you are eligible for the energy credit while taking the standard deduction. As long as the items meet the energy standards, you can include them on Form 5695.
