Hi i noticed when i looked at my tax form already sent to irs that i had numbers in box 9 which im pretty sure is a error. Me and my boyfriend were seeing who would be better off claiming the kids and i ended up not claiming them and thought i deleted everything i needed to make it single with no deductions or children and noticed numbers still in that box. Will that effect my taxes and end up having to amend them?

If you have not listed specific deductions on your tax return, the IRS gives you an automatic deduction of $12,200 for a single individual.  If that is the number you see in BOX 9 you can rejoice in the fact that it is correct.
