EV VIN Rejected

The application keep telling me the VIB is not correct … I have verified with dealer documents, registration, etc.

There is no '0' 'O' or 'S' '5' or '1' 'L' error.  Is this a bug or do or can I fix this?

Did the dealer submit the paperwork to the IRS?

If the VIN is being rejected it is either because it is not matching what the dealer sent in or they did not send in the required paperwork for you to claim the credit.   It is something in their system saying it does not match what you are entering.

If you are being rejected due to the VIN, you will need to print and mail your return for the IRS to accept it.

I was able to resolve the issue, this may be just my specific situation, I'm on a Windows 10 system, but I thought I'd share.

I downloaded my copy of TurboTax and got all the updates.

Things worked fine until I was downloading from my bank, for some reason, although it was checked, it didn't download my CD income, so I put it in manually.

Next it wouldn't take the VIN for my Tesla

Next, it didn't like the ID for my pension payments.  Since it was the same as last year, i exited out, went into last year's return to verify the name/id#, this required more updates.

When i want back into my current return, everything worked.  It liked the VIN & the Name/#.

Again, it could just be my situation, but if all else fails, might try this.  Thanks

Restarting worked for me as well, thank you! It had added my van twice since I tried to run through it twice entering the van again. I just deleted the second entry then it worked.
