Hello all, I am so confused about my tax filing in 20203 for the year 2022. I came to the US on 11/1/2018 for school and have been in school to date (2/6/2023). Do I need to file my taxes as a resident or a non-resident? I've been getting mixed answers everywhere. I took the online substantial Presence Test which says I am a resident. I am so confused.

As a F1 student, for the first 5 full or part calendar years in the US (2018 to 2022), you are an exempt individual and are considered a nonresident alien for tax purposes.

For tax year 2023, you are a resident alien if you satisfy the Substantial Presence test.

so for tax year 2022, you are a nonresident alien and have to file form 1040-NR. You cannot use TurboTax to file your tax return. You should use Sprintax.
