federal I took standard deduction, new york state shows itemized a whopping $1,094,000 itemized deduction, it should have carried over standard from federal?

    The federal and NY are pretty similar. The federal limits state and local tax paid to $10,000 while NY does not have a limit. Employee expenses are another difference. My bet would be a typo in the state and local tax section. Like property tax $1,000,000+.
