Filing Federal Return Electronically - Doesn't Work

This year, for the first time, I decided to file my Federal Return electronically.  What a joke.  It keeps getting rejected with this error message:  IND-031-04 - The primary taxpayer's AGI or Self-select PIN from last year does not match IRS records.  First of all, last year's AGI shown by your system is exactly correct, but even though my wife and I filed jointly, your system asks each of us for an AGI...confusing.  Second, I have no clue about a Self-select PIN, have never created one.  I've reverted back to printing and mailing.  Maybe next year I'll just use the IRS website for my return and save the TurboTax expense.
