If you are referring to the refundable Additional Child Tax Credit, this credit is subject to the PATH Act and requires additional due diligence in processing by the IRS. The nonrefundable Child Tax Credit will not delay refund processing. You can track the status of your return and refund processing via the IRS Where's My Refund tool.
