When TT asks how much of my 1099-DIV entry is from foreign sources, should I give it the amount from the supplemental form for box 1a only, or also add the amount given for box 1b?

Yes, if you are claiming a Foreign Tax Credit, you will need that info from the supplemental form to enter in TurboTax regarding the amount of 1099-DIV income that is from foreign sources.

Your 1099-DIV reports the amount of Foreign Tax Paid in Box 7, which you enter in the 1099-DIV area in TurboTax.
