On my federal return, the YES box is checked beside "At any time during 2024, did you have a financial interest in or signature authority over a financial
account (such as a bank account, securities account, or brokerage account) located in a foreign
country? See instructions"

I have repeatedly checked NO to the question asking if I have a foreign account. I DO NOT HAVE ONE! How do I get TurboTax to save my response so that I can file an accurate return?

This could be occurring if you have imported a 1099-INT. If you have a 1099-INT verify that the FACTA box is not marked for this form. If it is marked it will enter you have a foreign account. If this does not resolve your problem you delete the form by following these steps:

From the left rail menu in TurboTax Online, select Tax Tools (You may have to scroll down on the left rail menu.)
On the drop-down select Tools
On the Pop-Up menu titled “Tools Center,” select Delete a Form
This will show all of the forms in your return
Scroll down to the form you want to delete
Select the Form
Click on Delete.

Always use extreme caution when deleting information from your tax return.  There could be unintended consequences.
