I am trying the Foreign Tax Credit. The interview is asking for Country. One of the brokers just says "Other Country". What should I select from the drop down menu? "Various"? Something else?
Another broker just says "foreign tax paid" and doesn't list a country. It just has the "Security Description" such as "ISHS CORE MSCI EAFE ETF"? What do I put for that?
Yes, list the country(s) as "various" in the dropdown selection. Ignore the "security descriptions" as this information isn't needed to compute the Foreign Tax Credit.
