Hi All.. I was on F-1 visa for the 2023 tax year. I first came to the US in 2013 and came with F-1 visas for undergrad and grad school the whole time, thus, I have been considered as a resident alien according to the Substantial Presence Test. However, I somehow received tax form 1042-S instead of 1099-DIV from my investment brokerage. The income code is 06, chapter indicator 3, exemption code 00 (box 3a), and 15 (box 4a). I could not find any section in TurboTax where I can file this form. Any help would be appreciated.

You will file bank interest on the 1099-INT section. Just enter the bank name and amount. The IRS will look for your 1042-S income in the matching spot on your return.
