Form 5695

When I was filing my 2023 tax refund, turbo tax told me I had a 6000 carry forward home energy credit. However, when I look at line 16 from the form 5695 is just blank, along with every other line in that form.

    If you Amended your 2022 return and started your 2023 return before completing it, the carryover may not appear.

     

    If this does not apply, there is a place where you can enter the carryover amount yourself to still get the credit.  Go to Deduction & Credits > Your Home > Home Energy Credits and go through the screens until you see a question about having any carryover credits.  Answer 'yes' and enter the amount of the carryover.
