Form 8936 Filing Status codes are incorrect (Part I, line 5)

On Form 8936, the Filing Status codes that can be entered are different than the codes listed on the form. The codes selectable in the drop-down box (1 through 5) are not the same as the form selections (S, MFS, etc.). Details are as follows:

Form 8936 Filing Status                               Turbotax line 5 entries (from drop-down list)

Single (S)                                                        1 = Single

Married filing separately (MFS)                  2 = Married Filing Jointly

Head of Household (HOH)                         3 = Married Filing Separately

Married filing jointly (MFJ)                           4 = Head of Household

Qualifying surviving spouse (QSS)             5 = Qualifying Surviving Spouse

There does not appear to be any way to modify these codes manually in the Turbotax form, so I either have to file the return as-is or manually correct it on a paper copy and mail in the form.

Are there any other options to resolve this?

Your filing status on your tax return is used for the form 8938.  If you are Married Filing Jointly on the Form 1040 then that is what you would use for the Form 8936.
