Forms I have to resummit

Hi I got a letter in the mail a few weeks ago stating that I didn’t send something in and I have to fill out a 1040-x for and a schedule 8812 form where do I begin to to look for the information to fill these out I have no idea where to begin and can I do them online or is it only paper
