Gas Water Heater 2022

Hello,

In 2022, I purchased a gas water heater for $3800 but did not claim on the taxes.  Can I claim in 2023?

    No.  You can only claim the credit for the year it was purchased and installed.  You would need to Amend Your Return from 2022 in order to claim the credit.  The credit was 10% for 2022 or a max of $300.
