my daughter claimed my son on her 2018 taxes without my knowledge and i claimed him on my 2018 taxes (they werent filed until december of 2019). I found out because i filed my 2019 taxes before her and she tried to claim him again and couldnt. she then confessed. i havent recieved anything from irs except a form to verify my identity. how will this afect my 2019 refund that has already been accepted by the irs?

It won't affect it, as long as your daughter doesn't try to file a paper return and claim the child.  Each year stands alone.

    it shouldn't affect your return

HOWEVER, strongly suggest your daughter amend her 2018 return and return any 'ill gotten' gains.  Will save the wrath of the IRS
