Question

Hi, I'm a Turkish citizen working in the US with J1 visa. As I know, there is a tax treaty agreement between US and Turkey. How can I include this on my tax filing?

I was expecting to get refund after my tax filing, especially considering the tax treaty agreement between the US and Turkey, but I just learned I owe 79$ to government. Is this agreement involved when I file my taxes with Turbotax? Thanks!

As a US non-resident, you will need to file with Sprint Tax to file your 1040 NR return. You will not be able to complete this return with Turbo Tax because you are exempt with your J1 VISA.  Please contact Sprint Tax for further details.
