Question

Hi I paid almost $7,000 in property taxes when I closed on my new condo. It's not showing on my 1098 form. Can I still include those?

Yes, if you paid them in 2020.  Go to Federal > Deductions and Credits > Your Home.

Did you pay those taxes in 2020? Then, yes, you can include them.

Mortgage companies are not actually required to add property taxes to the 1098 (if for no other reason that not all mortgage companies pay taxes out of escrow).

So if you know what the taxes are from your tax authority's records, then please add them. In fact, that's one reason why TurboTax has two places to add property taxes: one as part of the 1098 interview, and a separate on just under it in the Home part of the Deductions & Credits section.
