Hi my name is robert an I am trying to find out where to put in for my child care credit

To enter the information for the child and dependent care credit, please follow these steps:

1. Click on Federal  > Deductions & Credits 
2. In the You and Your Family section and click on the Start/Revisit box next to Child and Dependent Care Credit.  [See Screenshot #1, below.]
3. On the Did you pay for child or dependent care in 2017? screen, click Yes.  [Screenshot #2]
4. On the screen, Whose care did you pay for? your dependent(s) should be listed. Select the dependent you incurred the expenses for.  Then click Continue.  [Screenshot #3]
5. If the correct dependent is not listed, you can click on the box Add another dependent.
6. You will then be asked to enter information about the care provider(s).  [NOTE:  If you do not enter information about the providers, you will not be able to get the credit.]
7. Continue through the interview, entering the requested information.
