I received an email that Home energy credits are now working and entered all my info but refund amount still comes up as $0 and yes I entered everything correctly just as I did last year.

What is going on with TurboTax 2024?.... Not many things working. It's becoming more and more expensive with more and more problems and might be better to use an accountant

The Home Energy Credit is a non-refundable credit, meaning the amount of credit you qualify for is limited to your tax liability.

However, if you're not able to use all of the credit this year, it will carry over to the next year(s).

Form 5695 is ready for Efile. If you're using TurboTax Desktop, go to FORMS to see how your credit was calculated on this form.

You can also step through the interview for Home Energy Credit again to check your entries.

If you're using TurboTax Online, close the program, clear your Cache and Cookies and return to this section.
