Home mortgage interest Schedule A mismatch

I'm including home interest paid in 2023 on Schedule A (itemized deductions). The value included on the form in Schedule A differs from the amount I entered from Form 1098, Box 1 and also listed on the Home Interest Mortgage Worksheet, like 2b in TurboTax. The amounts disagree by several hundred dollars.

Is there any reason why the amount on Schedule A, line 8a may differ from what I have on my form 1098?

TurboTax automatically adjusts Schedule A when the amounts are claimed elsewhere on the return.  It seems you have resolved your discrepancy question.  If you need additional assistance, please return to the forum

I think I've uncovered the discrepancy. I deducted a portion of my home interest as an expense for the business use of my home (Form 8829). The Tax and Interest Deduction Worksheet for Schedule A reduces the interest from form 1098 by the amount I deducted for business use as to not double deduct.
