I understand employees working from home can no longer take the home office deduction.  Yet in my state return on the Employee Home Office Worksheet, it requires me to fill in Line 2 which is square footage of home and Line 1 which is percent of use of home.

I do not wish to utilize the state home office deduction.  I have tried to delete.  Will no do.  It pops up as a error when filing.  I cannot file, unless I give the square footage of my home (line 2) and (line 1) what percent of home is use for work.

What am I to do?   Please answer soon.  Thank you.               I did put in the square footage of my home. and I put in 0 for percent of home used for work.   But I don't understand why the Employee Home Office Worksheet

Yes, you can delete the Home Office Deduction.

To delete the form, I recommend going back to the original point of entry.

In the search box enter Job expenses then select Job-related expenses

From there, you will be able to delete your job related expenses.

    2. Locate Tax Tools
    3. Select Tools
    4. See the pop-up window Tool Center
    5. Choose Delete a form
    6. Select Delete next to the form/schedule/worksheet in the list
    7. Follow the instructions
