When I fill out the information for my home office deduction the entire amount of my expenses are carry forward to next year.  According to the IRS instructions, I should be able to deduct up to my gross income but the program is not allowing it.

Your deduction for business use of the home is limited to an amount equal to the gross income derived from the qualified business use of the home reduced by the business deductions that are unrelated to the use of your home. If the business deductions that are unrelated to the use of your home are greater than the gross income derived from the qualified business use of your home, then you cannot take a deduction for this qualified business use of your home.  Gross income limitation.
