Home Office Deductions

I started a new job in October 2021 and my new employer has no office space in my state of California.  They only have physical offices on the East Coast (thousands of miles from where I live).  Additionally, and in order for my company to do business in California, they have designated my home as an office location (i.e., my home is registered as a company office location with the State of Pennsylvania, which is where my company has its headquarters).  Do I get to deduct my home office even though I am a W2 employee since my company needs to use my home as an office to do business.

Sorry, you do not get to deduct this for Federal.  See if you can reach a funding deal with your employer.
