I bought a home in Utah in 2019 but my home is CA did not sale until May 2020. Do I claim the sale of the home in CA as a second home?

If the CA home was your main home until the move, it could be considered sale of a main home.

If it was your main home that you lived in 2 out of 5 years, you may not need to report the house sale at all.
