How can you deduct charitable contributions with the standard deduction?

Sorry---that above the line Charity deduction of $300 per spouse was eliminated for 2022 returns.  You can enter charity donations as an itemized deduction on Schedule A.  And, of course, the donations will have no effect unless you have enough other itemized deductions to exceed your standard deduction.

The charitable deduction without itemizing for 2021 is not available for 2022 taxes. If you want to take charitable deduction for 2022 you need to itemize.
