How do I add farming expenses?

We operate a small farm but the online program is not giving me options for putting all of my expenses in.

    Once you have the farm questions answered, you will need to edit your farm to add any expenses.  If you have farm rental income, that must be entered under Rents and Royalties using Schedule E instead of Schedule F or Form 4835.

     

    If you only select Farm rental you will not be able to enter any expenses.

     

    Open your Tax return in TurboTax Self Employed Online 

    1. Select Tax Home (left panel) > Select the dropdown arrow beside Income and Expense or select Work on other income
    2. Scroll to Rents, Royalties and Farm > Select Farm Income and Farm Rental > Revisit or Start
    3. Continue to answer the questions.
      1. If you select 'I have income from operating a farm' you will be able to enter income and expenses.  
      2. If you select 'I received fixed cash payments from my farm rental' you will be instructed to use rental income (noted above)
