    It depends on if you are a W-2 employee or do you get paid with a 1099.

     

    Sole proprietors receiving income reported on Form 1099 can deduct expenses related to jobs they perform. ‌This would be input in the Schedule C section in TurboTax Online.

     

    For the typical W-2 employee, unreimbursed job-related expenses aren't deductible in 2024.
