How do I adjust the HSA Contribution in the State Return?

I moved from CA to MN in November 2020.  In CA, they add HSA Contributions back into your taxable wages.  When preparing the CA tax return, it wants to add back the full 2020 Contribution amount into my taxable wages for CA even though the full amount does not apply. How do I adjust it?

if you are filing in two states (MN and CA) with CA now being your permanent residence, complete your MN tax return first, then CA will give you a credit for what you paid to MN; that is the way it works.
