Where do I enter my vehicle registration taxes paid?

    If you itemize your deductions, you can deduct the Vehicle Registration Fee you paid based on your vehicle's value.

     

     To enter your registration fee:

    In TurboTax Online/Mobile: 

    1. Select Federal from the left Menu
    2. Select Deductions and Credits
    3. Scroll down to Cars and Other Things You Own

     

    In TurboTax Desktop: 

    1. Search for car registration and select the Jump to link.
    2. Answer Yes to Did you pay any car registration fees in 2024? and then enter them on the next screen.
