Question

How do I enter depreciation of the real estate on a rental property? 2018 return is second year I own property. I prepared 2017 in TT but did not file it, had cpa redo.

    Which version of TurboTax are you using? If it is an Online version, you need Premier or Self-Employed (you can use any desktop version for this purpose).

     

    You enter all of the information for the asset (i.e., the rental property) in Rental Properties and Royalties, specifically in the Sale of Property/Depreciation section. You should have an accumulated depreciation figure or a depreciation schedule from your CPA.
