You have no children listed on your tax return anywhere? What about any other types of dependents?

What EXACTLY is this box/slot you are talking about?  What is it asking for?
June 7, 2019
Yes i just want to know what value i should enter in this slot ? I dont have any children and dont want to claim any for the child tax credit

Line E is the line for the child tax credit it is asking me to input the value that applies to me “4” for each dependant  if im single and make under 71k. “1” for each dependant  if i make over 71k and “0” for each dependant if i make over 200k . Seeing that this tax credit doesnt apply to me i have no children dependants what value should i put on this line?

Are you using TaxCaster or a W4 calculator of some kind or is this in the actual tax return preparation?

If you have no children UNDER 17 on your return then line E on the W-4 should be zero.
