How do i have box 12 on a non-tip job
I have box 12a and 12b, which are labeled uncollected tax on tips. I'm a nurse, and I definitely don't make tips. So how can I have numbers in these boxes?
The lower-case letters in box 12 on your W-2 are just line labels and have no meaning. Any code that applies to your W-2 will be a capital (upper-case) letter. Please see the FAQ below for more information.
