This issues keeps popping up when I run Smart Check on my Federal Return: Home Mortgage Interest Worksheet (Fifth Third): None of the copies of the Home Mortgage Interest Worksheet have been marked as the latest loan. At least one copy of the worksheet must be marked as containing the most recent details of the loan and is most commonly reported on the latest copy of Form 1098. If the loan has been paid off and there is no outstanding debt at the end of the year, enter the most recent copy as the latest loan.

You can correct this by selecting this is the most recent 1098 for my loan.  To enter this in TurboTax, follow these steps:

    1. Login to TurboTax
    2. Select Deductions and Credits
    3. Select the edit icon next to your mortgage
    4. Go through the interview questions until you get to the question, "Is this the most recent 1098 for your loan"
    5. Mark yes for the question
