Question

How do I resolve this error message: Form 1116 ... Foreign Tax Credit ... will require Form 1116, Schedule B, which will be available in a future product update?

The full error message is "Form 1116 (COPY 1) -- Foreign Tax Credit Comp Wks: Total Outgoing C/O has a value.  This will require Form 1116, Schedule B, which will be available in a future product update."  I am unable to complete the filing process

Form 1116 Schedule B, Foreign Tax Carryover Reconciliation Schedule will be available in TurboTax for printing on 03/10/2022 and for e-filing on 03/11/2022

    Foreign Tax Credit form 1116 has been updated.

    Once you run the software update, Form 1116 will be ready and you can file your tax return.

     

    If you're on a PC, open TurboTax and select Check for Updates from the Online menu near the top.

    On a Mac, simply quit and reopen TurboTax. If there are any updates, you'll be prompted to download them
