how to enter Foreign Tax deduction

I had a Canadian gig in 2022 (I am a US citizen). The total payment is $6000. When my US agent send me a check (directly from my agent in USD), they withheld $675 as Canadian Tax Withheld. So I received $5325.

I just received my 1099-NEC with income of $6000. How can I deduct the $675? Is it on Schedule C, Line 23 "Enter Taxes not from Form 1098"? or some IRS Form? Please help/guide me about which Form to use and how to enter the $675?

Thanks for your help

You can claim a foreign tax credit or deduction. For $675, the tax credit should work out better.

    1. Type foreign tax credit in Search (magnifying glass) in the top right
    2. Select Jump to foreign tax credit

Where do I enter the foreign tax credit (Form 1116) or deduction?

You may also have to file a Canadian income tax return. You can post a question on the TurboTax Canada Live Community.
