How to report: Working on J-1 visa at a US university. Did not receive salary in 2018, but received a grant from a foreign organization (not my home country).
Hi, I am working under a J-1 visa at a US university. I did not receive salary last year, but I did receive a lump sum as a scholarship that was paid directly to my US bank account. The grant is from a foreign, EU-based organization. I am still paying taxes to my home country (also part of EU). How do I go about reporting this? Thank you so much!
