Hello,

I have a question about HSA contribution if someone can help answer.

For first two of months in 2021 I had  health coverage from my former employer and I made HSA contribution. The remainder of the year, my current employer provided health care coverage and sent me 1095-B and it has code of “B – Employer sponsored Coverage”. Can I still contribute to my personal HSA account that I have for the max amount allowable for 2021 (for me $4,600 including $1k catch-up) ?

one requirement to contribute to an HSA is being covered by a High Deductible Health Plan and having no non HDHP general health insurance.  the HDHP coverage can be your own or you can be covered by your employer.

nothing you provided answers the question. ask your employer.
