Husband was doing partial hospitalization out of state for 6 weeks. His hotel was covered by insurance. Kids and i went to visit husband for two weeks. Is our hotel expense tax deductible as he was

No, your hotel expense would not be deductible as a medical expense since you were there only to visit.  To me that implies that your husband was capable of being able to go on his own to and from the hotel to his medical treatment.

 

In order for your hotel expense to be deductible, you would need to be there in order to assist with taking care of the patient's needs.  For example, a parent traveling with their sick child.
