I am 62 years old, retired, pay through a cobra plan for a HDPPO medical insurance. Can I contribute to my existing HSA ?

I will be on this plan until I go onto medicare. Also how much can I contribute for a single person ( not a family plan)

Yes, you can contribute to yoyr HSA even if you do not have earned income. You only need to have a High deductible health plan (HDHP).

 

The maximum amount a single person can contribute in tax year 2022 is $3,650 plus a catch-up contribution of $1,000 if you are 55 or older.
