I am an indepentdent contractor in the travel industry. I spent more than I made on my travel business. How am i supposed to add this into my taxes?

Business expenses are added by category. If you are a sole proprietor, you will add a Schedule C to your return. In TurboTax Self-Employed, you can add this information under Income & Expenses. Click Start/Revisit next to Self-employment income and expenses. The software will ask you about your industry and add common expenses for your line of work. You can add more by clicking Add expenses for this work.
