I am self employed, I purchased a new tablet with internet access. How and what do I deduct.

I use the tablet for business, it has internet access.

You can deduct the item in the asset depreciation area and the internet fees would be an expense. The Business module is broken down into different areas. See the screen shot below.

If you choose to take the Section 179 deduction (expense) for the tablet, keep in mind that the IRs has designated this as 5-year property. What this means is that if you do not use it for its entire useful life in the business, you will have to recapture (pay tax on) the balance of the depreciation.
