I bought a house in 2016, this is my first house, is there a first time home buyer credit? If so, how do I enter that information? Also, do I need to enter closing costs?

The federal first-time homebuyer credit was only available for houses purchased in 2008, 2009, and 2010 (and 2011 for certain persons). However, you may be able to deduct mortgage interest, points, mortgage insurance, and real estate tax (property tax) that you paid for your new home.
