Question

I bought Costco Turbotax...no damned CD; only a key....I cannot find where to insert charitable donations, etc., etc. ????,

I find once I open it I am asked to PAY FOR THE COST OF THE RETURN, which I have already paid Costco for? Why can't I get a blue-background Turbotax return as in other years???

    You have probably logged in to online software instead of the desktop download that you paid for at Costco.

     

     

    We see people get confused and they keep logging in to online software which will require them to pay at the end.   You need to use the desktop software.   One way to tell if you are using the right software---your tool bar.   Online software has the toolbar in a black vertical column on the left side of the screen.   Desktop software has the tools up on the top of your TT screen.

    How do I download my software from TurboTax.com?

     

     

    For TurboTax CD/Download purchases, once you’ve received an order confirmation for your purchase, follow these instructions to download your TurboTax software:

    1. Go to Access my downloads and sign in with the same user ID you used to purchase your software
    2. On Your TurboTax account, select the Downloads tab
    3. Select the version you want to download and save it somewhere on your computer where you can find it

    1. Install your software by double-clicking the downloaded file
