Solved

I didn’t work in 2024 due to divorce. I have a child. Can I get a return if I file with not working but have a child?

All of the refundable child-related credits are based on having income from working, so if you did not have a job or earn self-employment income by working, you will not be able to get earned income credit or the additional child tax credit.  Sorry.   Is there someone else who supported you and/or your child who can claim you as dependents?
