Question

I don't have a HSA or MSA why is it showing I do on turbo tax

After completing the form it is stating I have for 2024 when 2023 it was received for the amount of 250.00. How do i fix it?

If you filed an HSA or MSA in 2023, TurboTax is recognizing you used the form on past returns.  You can delete the form by following these steps:

 

  1. Sign into your account
  2. Click Tax Tools on the left side control panel
  3. Click Tools
  4. Click Delete a form
  5. Click Delete next to form 8889 HSA forms

The HSA form 8889 is required if you take withdrawals from your HSA or if you or your employer contributes to your HSA account.  For more information on HSA's see the link below:
