I gave a person at our church money because she was hit by covid. Can I claim it?

Sorry, no. Contributions to individuals cannot be deducted.

If the church had a "COVID fund", and collected donations, and it was the church elders or maybe pastor who decided who would get the money, and you had no direct control over where the money went, then it might be an allowable deduction.  But direct gifts to specific people, even if they are needy, are never deductible.
