I get government assistance for childcare, do I still fill out the childcare tax credit?

    State aid is not entered on a tax return, so No you do not enter it as child and dependent care.

    You can't claim the credit If the government assistance received covered the day care expense. However, if it was a partial payment, you can claim credit for the amount you paid.
