I had a foster child for 1 day less than the 6 months required to claim her. I have $2500 in daycare expenses while she was in my care. Can I claim this?

She is being claimed on her parents return, I am not able to list her as a dependant.

Unfortunately, no. The child has to live with you for more than half the year (over 6 months) in order to claim the Child and Dependent Care Credit.
